Styx, an American rock band from Chicago, Illinois, was formed by Dennis DeYoung, Chuck Panozzo, John Panozzo, John Curulewski, and James Young in 1972.
“Caught In The Act” concert by Styx was recorded live at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 09-10, 1983, with double CDs released on April 01, 1984 and a DVD on December 11, 2007.
“Return To Paradise” concert by Styx was recorded live at the Rosemont Horizon arena in Rosemont, Illinois on September 21, 1996, with double CDs and a DVD released on May 06, 1997.
“Babe,” from the 1979 “Cornerstone” studio album by Styx, was led by Dennis DeYoung in the key of D major (D).

Dennis DeYoung, Chuck Panozzo, and John Panozzo formed the Tradewinds band in August 1961.
In 1964, Tom Nardini joined Tradewinds as guitarist.
In 1965, Tradewinds became TW4.
In 1969, Tom Nardini left TW4 and was replaced by John Curulewski.
In 1970, James Young joined TW4 as lead guitarist.
In 1972, TW4 became Styx.
In 1975, John Curulewski left Styx and was replaced by Tommy Shaw as vocalist and guitarist.
In 1983, Tommy Shaw left Styx.
In 1983, Styx disbanded.
In 1988, John Curulewski died.
In 1989, Styx reformed.
In 1995, Tommy Shaw rejoined Styx.
In 1995, John Panozzo left Styx and was replaced by Todd Sucherman on bass.
In 1996, John Panozzo died.
In 1999, Dennis De Young was forced out of Styx, due to a chronic disorder that made him sensitive to light and sound at concerts, and was replaced by Lawrence Gowan.
