Matthew Ward


Matthew Ward, born February 15, 1958 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, is an American singer-songwriter and tenor vocalist of Second Chapter of Acts, an award-winning Christian vocal group and pioneer of the “Jesus Music” genre that is now called Contemporary Christian Music (CCM).

Matthew Ward was a member the ground-breaking group Second Chapter of Acts, with his sisters, Annie Ward-Herring and Nelly Ward-Greisen, as they defined contemporary Christian music.

Matthew Ward was inducted by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1999.
