Matthew Ward, born February 15, 1958 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, is an American Christian singer-songwriter, guitarist, drummer, and a member of Second Chapter of Acts, a vocal trio of siblings and award-winning pioneer of the “Jesus Music” genre that is now called Contemporary Christian Music (CCM).
“Perfect Union,” from the 1988 “Fade To White” studio album, was sung by Matthew Ward in the key of B major (B).
“Since I Found You,” from the 1990 “Fortress” studio album, was sung by Matthew Ward in the key of D major (D).
“Waterfall,” from the 1992 “Point Of View” studio album, was sung by Matthew Ward in the key of G major (G).
“To The King,” from the 1997 “My Redeemer” studio album, was sung by Matthew Ward in the key of C major (C).

Matthew Ward is a member of the ground-breaking group 2nd Chapter of Acts, with his sisters, Annie Ward-Herring and Nelly Ward-Greisen, as they defined contemporary Christian music.
In 1993, Matthew Ward won a Dove Award for Inspirational Album of the Year for “Generation 2 Generation.”
In 1999, Matthew Ward was inducted by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
