Avalon, award-winning American Christian vocal quartet, was formed in 1995 by Grant Cunningham who was the Artist-and-Repertoire (A&R) Director for Sparrow Records at the time.
“The Greatest Story” was performed live by Avalon, first by the original members, Michael Passons, Janna Potter, Jody McBrayer, and Nikki Hassman, then by the next iteration of Janna Potter, Jody McBrayer, Melissa Greene, and Greg Long.
“Testify To Love” was performed live by Avalon, first by the group of Michael Passons, Janna Potter, Jody McBrayer, and Melissa Greene, followed by the group of Janna Potter-Long, Melissa Greene, and Jeremi Richardson, and then by the group of Janna Potter-Long, Jody McBrayer, Greg Long, and Dani Rocca.

In 1995, Michael Passons became the first member of Avalon, followed by Janna Potter, Jody McBrayer, and Nikki Hassman.
In 1998, Cherie Paliotta replaced Nikki Hassman-Anders who left to pursue a solo career.
In 2003, Greg Long, Janna Potter’s husband, replaced Michael Passons who left Avalon to pursue a solo career.
In 2007, Jeremi Richardson replaced Jody McBrayer who left Avalon due to a heart condition.
In 2009, Amy McBride, Jeremi Richardson’s wife, replaced Melissa Greene who left Avalon to work as a pastor of music and arts for GracePointe Church in Nashville, Tennessee.
In 2018, Jody McBrayer returned to replace Jeremi Richardson who left Avalon to be a worship pastor, with his wife, at North Cleveland Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee.
In 2018, Dani Rocca replaced Amy McBride-Richardson who left Avalon to be a worship pastor, with her husband, at North Cleveland Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee.
