Senior Pastor Robert Morris began planning for an evangelistic church in Southlake, Texas on September 16, 1999 which became Gateway Church.
Gateway Church held its first service was held on Easter morning, April 23, 2000 at the Hilton Hotel in Grapevine, Texas.
Thomas Miller, born Thomas Harrison Miller, Jr. on September 27, 1970, is married to Mary Elizabeth Miller.
In 2000, Melissa Loose was in the music ministry at Gateway Church.
In 2003, Thomas Miller founded the Gateway Worship ministry of Gateway Church as Senior Worship Pastor and Senior Worship Leader.
In 2006, Kari Jobe became an associate worship pastor and worship leader at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas.
In 2010, Cody Carnes joined Gateway Worship.
Mark Harris, founding member and vocalist of 4Him, became Associate Senior Worship Pastor at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas in March 2013.
